About us

Kiwamwaku Foundation formally called Kiwamwaku meaning (A group of women striving to fight HIV/AIDS in Mwanga District Area). It was established in 1997 in response to the HIV and AIDS crisis till 2002 when registered as NGO with HIV/AIDS as the only theme where it was authorized to work in Mwanga District. The organization aimed to empower the community to take informed action in reducing HIV/AIDS infections through carrying out HIV/AIDS prevention awareness campaigns, home based care, education and economic empowerment programs. On 4th July, 2022 the organization was re-registered as KIWAMWAKU FOUNDATION adding gender, environment and agriculture themes while extending its operations throughout Tanzania Main Land covering 25 regions.
